Word from the Big Apple is that the New England Patriots QB/QT and "Six Degrees" actress Bridget Moynahan have put their love life on waivers.
"Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady amicably ended their three-year relationship several weeks ago," the actress' rep told Usmagazine.com yesterday. "We ask for your respect and consideration of their privacy. No further comments will be made."
A source close to Brady told Us that the couple were "very focused on their careers."
"She was putting a lot into 'Six Degrees,' he into the Patriots," said the Brady spy. "It was just really hard for them to make it work."
Really? Isn't "Six Degrees" on hiatus?
The big break-up could have come Thanksgiving weekend — three weeks ago — when our spies spotted the toothsome twosome dining at Umbria on Franklin Street. No PDA was reported.
It's been well reported here that Brady and his lady's coupling has had its ups and downs — but mostly ups — since they hooked up in late 2003. AncI fans of the couple, including the Track, have been eagerly awaiting the Big Announcement.
Sadly, so was Bridget, and it never came.
The glamour puss, 36, told Boston Common maggie last fall that marriage and kids are part of her five-year game plan.
"I've been on this career thing for so long, and you look at all your friends who are finally getting married and having kids," she said. "I believe in balance in life, so I think you can do it all."
Moynahan told the Track that although she hoped to marry, she wasn't about to pop the question to her honey, like her character in "Six Degrees."
So, tick, tock, Bridget was facing yet another Christmas without a Tiffany's blue box under the tree. Meanwhile, her dropdead-handsome, rich, 29-yearold boyfriend with three Super Bowl rings and two tricked-out bachelor pads in Boston and New York, apparently saw no need to tie the knot.
F.O.T.s have told the Track that Tom was in "no rush" to walk down the aisle with any woman.
"Why would he," asked one.
